Designed to be taught as part of the new V Cert NCFE Engineering qualification.
I have created a series of theory lessons that can be taught alongside the practical projects I have uploaded here. There are 3 theory booklets in total containing up to 10 theory topics in each.
Lesson PowerPoints include retrieval tasks, lesson objectives and fully embedded GIF animations (6 second looped video clips) demonstrating the content.
Theory handout includes structured comprehension questions and an extension task.
Please check out my other resources for the new V Cert NCFE Engineering course, including 6 other practical projects, a nowiknow learning log and theory lesson bundles.
All supporting files if not uploaded can be emailed directly, please just ask.
I am developing a full range of theory lessons to support the new AQA design technology GCSE starting in 2017. There are 30 lessons that are taught 1 a week throughout Y10.
Each lesson has learning objectives, starter/bell task, content (GIF’s used to support learning), plenary and summary slides in PowerPoint. I have also included a fully supported student handout which includes homework questions and summative assessment section.
To support the theory lessons I have uploaded, please download my pupil tracker sheet.
As well as theory lessons I have uploaded project/skills learning journeys that can be easily customised to the projects you are delivering.
All content is fully branded and is graphically consistent.
Please check out my other resources and give feedback if you find my resources helpful.
If there are any missing video links, please contact me and I will send.

I have created an introduction lesson for use when delivering the new AQA NEA courswork task. I have stated the contextual challenges and unpacked them with a slant towards Graphics. However the structure can easily be tweaked to focus on any material base. Please see me other NEA documents for a complete picture of the work I do.

This is a 20 lesson project design to introduce students to the main manufacturing techniques used in metal. Students are required to design, mark out, cut, file and polish an aluminium vane before using the lathe to turn a post for it to be mounted to. A direction arm will be screw threaded then brazed into place before drilling and welding a base in place.
Job cards are used to develop students ability to read and interpret manufacturing spec drawings and begin to work with independance. PowerPoint has embedded gifs to show students main manufacturing techniques.
Please check out my theory lessons that run along this project.
Complete starter pack for delivery of the AQA NEA. Included is a launch lesson which is slightly Graphics biased but can be easily modified to your own requirements, a complete set of lesson plans and student template to guide them through the delivery. A set of starter tasks that can be used to refresh theory knowledge during the NEA and a tracker sheet to allow pupils to recieve feedback and improve their work.
